WAR HORSE: National Theatre Jubilee Salute to the Queen with Joey

A bit of overall National news today as this past weekend was a big day for us on the South Bank. Queen Elizabeth II sailed down the Thames in the Jubilee River Pageant and received a unique salute from the National Theatre, in association with Handspring UK, culminating in an appearance by Joey from War Horse. Ever since The Queen visited the play War Horse in 2009, Joey has been a firm favorite of hers, and has even paid a private visit to Windsor Castle.

For those not in London, you can see by the crowds alone that this was a significant day for London and one we at The National were proud to take part.
